Huntington Beach State Park - A public beach perfect for shell hunting. There is an on-site naturalist. Hours - daylight until dark. Across from Brookgreen Gardens.

Myrtle Beach Pavilion - This landmark was built in 1902, was the heart of downtown entertainment, and was demolished at the end of Summer 2006.

Brookgreen Gardens - One of the largest collections of American sculpture in the world - plus 9,000 acre refuge and park. The ponds, floral displays and exotic plants provide a handsome setting.
